July is the month that we celebrate the independence of the United States of America. It is also the month that Building Together celebrates the different cultures that make up our company. Like this country, TMK Construction is composed of people of many different cultural backgrounds. It’s important that we recognize the unique benefits that this cultural diversity brings to TMK Construction. Acknowledging and respecting cultural diversity develops a strong sense of identity and strength within our community. TMK Construction understands and appreciates each other’s cultural background and the opportunities for connection it brings to our workplace.
Throughout the month of July, we will celebrate the diverse cultures around our organization through food, language, nationalities and traditions. We will highlight the national flags that represent various countries and parts of the world that our employees consider their original home. In Guam, we will feature a jobsite that showcases over 15 national flags representing employees on the jobsite. We will share cultural dishes and traditions in our employee cultural cuisine cookbook. Hear from employees speaking their native language while explaining the importance of family and TMK Construction. Finally, learn about the Hawaiian tradition of groundbreaking on a construction site.
